I studied biotechnology and spent the next 14 years in soil science: microbes, roots, nutrients, carbon and water. The research was good. Most of the explanations were hard going.
So I started drawing it. I post illustrated soil science on LinkedIn every week and publish a research-backed article here every month, free to read. Soil Stories grew out of that work, and I still do it every week.
Today I run Soil Stories as a small studio with my wife, Dimple Patel. We do the same work for brands that need their own science explained.
