At the intersection of science and art, I’ve discovered my true calling. My story began in a laboratory, where I spent quite a number of years taking apart the many components of soil health. But in the course of the research and findings, another interest came up—that of embarking upon art in order to express what I had found out.

As a scientific illustrator, I am able to practice my profession by integrating soil science with art making to create illustrations that describe why awareness about soil health is important. Every illustration in my work conveys a message to the audience, emphasizing the importance of taking action for the betterment of the world and utilizing art as a powerful tool to achieve this.

Research papers and knowledge, while beneficial in their own right, unleash their power when combined with imagination and paintings. This is because art has the enormous power to simplify higher levels of science so that people may understand. It is the calling of people to take care of the world, and therefore I need to educate them on sustainable farming.

In every illustration, my aim is to stimulate contemplation, aiding the audience in comprehending the fragile ecosystems that sustain all life on Earth.
